Welcome to the website of San Diego's South Park Bar & Grill.  For those of you who haven't stopped by restaurant yet, the best way to describe the South Park Bar & Grill is that if "Cheers" was a neighborhood bar and grill, it would be right here in the charming and historical  San Diego community of South Park and be called by the same name. 

A Neighborhood Restaurant

The South Park Bar & Grill is above all a cozy and comfortable neighborhood restaurant catering to all ages (under 21 allowed anytime).  We offer delicious California comfort cuisine that even your grandmother would love complemented by a full bar featuring premium spirits, fine wines, and a wide assortment of select domestic and imported beer.  And we have a whole group of friendly bartenders and servers to make your visit to our home enjoyable and memorable.

A Center for Local Live Music

When John Kopecky, a native San Diegan and long time guitarist, first took over the restaurant, he did so with an eye to creating an intimate performance venue for live local music.  He put a small stage in the corner of the restaurant, visible both from the bar and dining room, so that music lovers can enjoy live music up close. 

Since the opening of the South Park Bar & Grill in May, 2003, local live music has been featured regularly, with many of San Diego's finest musicians appearing at this intimate venue.  We have live music  almost every night, with an emphasis on live jazz and blues, but other styles of music, including R&B, pop, and classical music, are also featured.  The South Park Bar & Grill has become a local cultural center, showcasing talented local musicians and attracting listeners who appreciate the many fine musical performances. 

For our neighbors who develop pesky late night munchies or those who stop by to enjoy live music, we keep the kitchen open until midnight Wednesday through Saturday.  After our normal dinner service, we feature a Late Night Menu which includes a variety of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, including our famous juicy 1/2 pound burger.
